Swords Travel Wins Top National Award

independent Travel Agent Swords Travel recently picked up a major national travel award at one of the industry’s biggest nights of the year.


The Agent Achievement Awards, hosted by Travel Weekly, attracts hundreds of agents each year and celebrates the great and the good of the UK travel industry.  This year’s event took place on 12th July at London’s Park Plaza Hotel in Westminster.

The event honours the best agents and agencies in the country, as voted by travel providers. Its Aspire Awards honour the best agents in the premium sector in association with Travel Weekly’s luxury magazine and travel agent club Aspire, and Swords Travel were honoured with the Award for the Aspire Independent Agency of the Year Award.

Hollie-Rae Brader, editor of Aspire, said: “The independent agency category of the Aspire Awards was hotly contested with dozens of brilliant and worthy entries. The judges picked Swords Travel as the winner because their submission showed a clear passion for their business and the luxury travel industry, as well as a desire to meet the need of every client. Their entry also highlighted ambitions for the future, as well as plotting a clear trajectory to achieve this. They impressed the panel and thoroughly deserve their win.”

Mark said: “We started Swords Travel back in 2016 but have only recently opened our office in Wimbledon Park, where we focus on providing high-end travel services to local customers in and around Wimbledon. Our business is already gaining great momentum and winning this award is a great recognition of our hard work to
date.  We couldn’t be more delighted.”

Stuart added: “We are committed to establishing Wimbledon’s premier travel agent offering a first class service and being on hand to provide advice on bespoke holiday requirements. Whether it be a honeymoon, family holiday or escape to a solo retreat we offer our customers unforgettable travel experiences and we have the knowledge to back it up. “Many of the destinations we feature, we have travelled to ourselves so we can offer a personal opinion. We have knowledge of many hotels, airlines, and some of the best things to experience whilst on holiday. We also offer a post booking concierge service. Whether it be arranging transport to the airport or
arranging a helicopter transfer from the airport to the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble.”
