Ikos Andalusia
Ikos hotels originated in Greece and being part of the same family as Sani Hotels come very highly regarded as some of the top hotels in Europe. Ikos hotels up until now have all been in Greece, but just recently they decided to launch their first property on the beautiful coast of Andalusia in Spain.
In September 2020 Stuart and I were invited out to see the hotel and it’s soft opening before any clients check in to the hotel in April 2021. The hotel was originally due to open in 2020 but due to COVID19 was delayed to 2021.
First Impressions
On arrival we entered into a beautiful stylish low rise reception with a very friendly welcome and guided to a more comfortable seating area. We were offered a drink from the bar and the whole check in process, was slick, high tech and done within minutes. As we arrived at lunch time, the hotel asked if we’d like to eat in Fresca (the Italian a la carte restaurant). At Fresca we ordered from a full a la carte menu and there was a great choice, the food arrived and it was delicious. The attention to detail from the whole restaurant team was spot on and I already got the feeling this was going to be a very different all inclusive experience.
A suite for every occasion
After lunch we headed straight to our suite to unpack and get pool ready. We were staying in the deluxe collection which have suites in prime location in front of the sea. As part of the deluxe package you get a huge array of benefits including your own dedicated bar and pool area, as well as pre booking of restaurants and some spa treatments. The suites are stunning, extremely well-spaced and loads of wardrobe space, plus a huge bathroom and everything is perfectly organised.
In the afternoon we relaxed by the pool with some nice cocktails and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Ikos Andalusia caters so well for all types of holiday maker, whether you’re a family, couple or single traveller. With 7 pools, 8 restaurants, state of the art kids activities , and all this with premium all-inclusive you really can’t beat it.

Personalities to match the impeccable service
On our 2nd day in the resort we did a full tour of the hotel and saw every restaurant, room type, facility and activity. We feel it’s important when visiting a hotel that we see everything, and we were totally wowed by everything Ikos had done. You can tell that attention to detail with Ikos is extremely important, but service and personality with the all the team is very noticeable. Every staff member is very polite, but they have character and get to know you. I have to give a huge shout out to Dafni who works in the bar at Ikos Andalusia, she really made our stay (some of you may know her already if you’ve been to Ikos in Halkidiki).
Challenging the norms of all inclusive
If you’re looking for health and wellness, the spa at Ikos is wonderful with huge treatment rooms. It has beautiful relaxation areas and an adult only pool with cabanas. In addition to this, if you’re planning on eating healthy during your stay this is very well catered for in the restaurants around the resort.
Not only do Ikos offer all-inclusive at the resort, they even offer this outside of the hotel as well. During your stay you can eat out at a local restaurant arranged by Ikos and they’ll pick up the bill.
Fancy a day exploring the local area? Don’t worry about hiring a car, you can prebook the Ikos mini for one full day during your stay to go and explore with a pre-planned itinerary in the sat nav.
Ikos Andalusia In Summary
When it comes to luxury all-inclusive, I’ve always been very sceptical. I can safely say that Ikos resorts have absolutely nailed this concept and gone above and beyond to ensure that every guest leaves wanting more.
There is so much to tell you about this hotel it’s hard to fit into a 700 word blog. If you’d like to know more we’d love to chat through the ins and outs and give you all the info you’d like to know, but rest assured you won’t be disappointed.
