All 255 ocean-facing suites are spacious, with contemporary décor and stylish furnishings in subtle hues. Each features air conditioning, a flat screen TV, complimentary WiFi, iPod docking station, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities and an outdoor terrace or balcony. We recommend upgrading to an Ocean Front Junior Suite to be closest to the beach, or to one of the four exclusive Long Beach Executive Suites for a guaranteed ground floor, just steps from the beach. Family Suites can accommodate two adults and up to three children, as they have a separate living area which can be turned into a second bedroom for kids, with its own TV and shower room.

Restaurants And Bars

There are five restaurants, four of which are set around the central piazza: Le Marché is the main buffet restaurant with seven live cooking stations, Sapori serves exquisite Italian dishes and Hasu offers authentic Japanese cuisine, with a sushi bar and central yakitori counter. The piazza is the heart of the resort, with live music at the chic Shores Bar every evening and DJs at the weekends, plus a show most evenings. The beachfront Tides is the place for a lunchtime snack or there’s a Mediterranean evening menu, and Chopsticks, a Chinese restaurant, completes the culinary line-up.

There’s a whole host of activities available at Long Beach, with a weekly sports programme including aqua gym, badminton, yoga and Zumba, and classes as diverse as painting, pastry making and DJing. Floodlit tennis courts, a fitness centre with steam room, climbing wall and just about every watersport under the sun, including diving, waterskiing, parasailing and windsurfing continue the active theme. For a change of pace, head to the lovely Cinq Mondes Spa, an oasis of calm, with 12 treatment rooms, an outdoor pavilion, traditional Hammam and Turkish baths. Three swimming pools include a serene adults-only pool, with big soft loungers looking out to the ocean, and a huge free-form pool which wraps around Tides Bar and has plenty of loungers and shaded day beds. The Angels by Sun Kids’ Club, for ages 2-11 yrs, has a further children’s pool and offers a great range of activities, while Waves Teens’ Club boasts a disco, cyber café and an array of adventurous excursions.
