FAMILIES & COUPLES

It really does offer so much for both. For families they have dedicated family suites which offer multiple bedrooms so the children have a separate room. They also have suites with private pools.

They have an amazing kids club including a teens area and a crèche for the younger ones. All facilities are managed by qualified staff that have been professionally trained by Worldwide Kids.

For adults it’s an amazing place to come and completely relax, enjoy great food and explore the island. They have a dedicated adults only pool and a lovely spa area.

WHICH ROOM TYPE DID YOU STAY IN?

I stayed in a beautiful private residence 2 bedroom sea view with pool. This was a detached 2 storey building which offered both luxury & space.

These are very private and part of the Haute Living Selection. This room type is also available with 3 bedrooms.

 These rooms are absolutely PERFECT for families. It’s like having all the benefits of a villa holidays combined with the incredible facilities of Domes of Elounda.

The Haute Living Selection is a bit like a hotel within a hotel  . You have access to an   all-day beach lounge, a members-only Haute Living Room,  ultra-private check-in  and much more.

WHAT LOCAL AREAS WOULD YOU RECOMMEND EXPLORING?

The very popular island of Spinalonga is a must-do day trip. The island was one of the last active leper colonies in Europe. It’s well worth reading Victoria Hislop’s novel ‘The  Island’ before you go as it tells the story of Spinalonga and the life the lepers built for themselves against all odds.

I would also recommend visiting Plaka which is not far from the hotel and is a small traditional village which still has an authentic feel to it. There are loads of fantastic local tavernas here so it’s a great place to visit for lunch followed by a wander around the shops.

The bustling town of Agios Nikolaos is also only a short drive away and a lovely place to visit. There are several waterfront areas to walk round, fine dining and local restaurants and plenty of shopping.
